Strasbourg welcome Saint-Etienne to the Stade de la Meinau on Saturday in a match that will have big implications in the battle at the bottom, as well as for the top four.

Liam Rosenior's men remain one of the most in-form clubs anywhere in Europe, while Saint-Etienne aided their survival push with a huge win last weekend.

We say: Strasbourg 1-0 Saint-Etienne

Going 10 games unbeaten should have Strasbourg down as big favourites to beat a side currently in the bottom two, and it is tough to see anything but that, even though the majority of their wins are by narrow scorelines.

Saint-Etienne have not won back-to-back games all season, losing 17 on their return to Ligue 1, and despite an excellent performance last weekend in the derby, they are unlikely to replicate it against a strong Strasbourg.

Le Havre vs. Monaco (Saturday, 6.00pm)

In a fixture with permutations at both ends of the Ligue 1 standings, relegation-threatened Le Havre welcome top-four-chasing Monaco to Stade Oceane on Saturday evening.

It has been a disappointing couple of weeks for the hosts, who have slipped below the dotted line, while Monaco saw their push for Champions League qualification stutter slightly last week.

We say: Le Havre 1-3 Monaco

Le Havre's last 11 matches have produced a whopping 45 goals, with both teams scoring in 10 of them, but there is no doubt that Monaco are clear in terms of quality, and the visitors should have enough to take one step closer to Champions League qualification.

Monaco's defence is among the strongest in the division too, conceding just four goals in their last seven league matches, and that could prove pivotal in a potentially tricky trip for a side who do not often win away facing a team fighting for their lives.

Lyon vs. Rennes (Saturday, 8.05pm)

Lyon will hope to recover from a disastrous week when they return to the Groupama Stadium to face mid-table Rennes in Ligue 1 on Saturday night.

Things got even worse for Paulo Fonseca's men after their European collapse, as they were beaten in the Derby Rhone-Alpes last weekend, scuppering their hopes of Champions League football.

We say: Lyon 1-1 Rennes

The psychological effect of the defeat at Man United could still be getting the better of some Lyon players, and while Fonseca should revert to a stronger XI for this clash compared to the one he named against Saint-Etienne, it may not be plain sailing.

Rennes enter the fixture on the back of consecutive victories, with their eyes now set on breaking into the top half, and they will cause the hosts a few problems in this one.
