Stoke City's Dionatan Teixeira extends Fleetwood Town stay

Stoke City defender Dionatan Teixeira has agreed a three-month extension to his loan spell at Fleetwood Town.

The 23-year-old, who has made six appearances for the Cod Army, initially signed a four-week contract at the start of October.

However, under the new terms, the Brazilian-born former Slovakia youth international will remain at the Highbury Stadium until January 2.

"It's good for me because every player needs to play. It's fantastic for myself," he told the club's official website. "Everything has been okay so far because the players have all helped me fit in."

Teixeira has made one Premier League appearance for Stoke following his arrival from Dukla Banska Bystrica in June 2014.
