Philipp Wollscheid has admitted that Stoke City will have "absolutely nothing to lose" when they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend.
The league leaders have not lost at home in the league this season, and have won 11 of their 14 home fixtures so far this campaign, helping Jose Mourinho's side establish a six-point gap at the top of the table.
The on-loan defender told the Potters' website: "It will be a really big challenge for us on Saturday going down to London to take on the league leaders.
"They are a very good side, very strong, powerful, have world-class individual players and are really well structured, so we know how difficult it will be. They are number one in the Premier League, but that doesn't matter to us and we won't allow that to affect us in any way.
"If anything, all of the expectancy is on them because they are challenging for the title and are at home, so we can go there with absolutely nothing to lose. We have to go there and show our best performance, and we know that if we can do that then there is no reason why we can't take something from the game. Any team is capable of beating any other in this league, and that gives us real hope."
Stoke have beaten Chelsea just once in the last five meetings between the two sides.
