Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones will miss three weeks of competitive action after suffering a hamstring injury against Tottenham Hotspur.
The frontman limped off the pitch during the Potters' Carling Cup victory over Spurs.
A later scan revealed that the former Sunderland player will be sidelined for a few weeks but the diagnosis is not “too serious”.
"There is a slight problem, but it's nothing too serious,” Stoke’s assistant manager Dave Kemp told the club’s official website.
"Kenwyne will miss this weekend's game and more than likely next week's two games as well, but after that we have the break which will give him a bit of time to get up and running again.”
The 26-year-old is expected to make his return against Fulham on October 15.
