Stoke goalkeeper Grant suffers broken wrist

Stoke City boss Paul Lambert has revealed that goalkeeper Lee Grant has sustained a broken wrist.

Grant has spent much of the season acting as deputy to Jack Butland, but the veteran stopper is now likely to be absent throughout March after suffering the injury last week.

At a press conference, the 48-year-old told reporters: "He has got a little break in his wrist. He felt it in the warm-up against Leicester on Saturday. It has just shown up. He will be out for a few weeks."

Grant has made a total of five appearances in all competitions this season, although the 35-year-old's last outing came on November 29.

Third-choice Danish goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard is expected to feature on the bench for Stoke's upcoming games.
