Mark Hughes would "love" to take Stoke City to FA Cup final

Mark Hughes says that he would "love" to lead Stoke City out at the FA Cup final this season.

Mark Hughes has claimed that he wants his first FA Cup final as manager to be with Stoke City.

The 51-year-old is preparing his side for tonight's fourth-round clash at League One's Rochdale.

However, Hughes, who has lifted the trophy as a player four times, is already looking to the final at Wembley.

"As a manager I've been to a couple of semi-finals, but never been able to make that final step and I'd love to do that at Stoke," the Daily Star quotes Hughes as saying.

"I just hope I get the opportunity to find out what it feels like to lead a team out for the final because it is a special competition."

Hughes also confirmed that he has held talks with the club regarding a new contract at the Britannia.
