Video: Goalscoring Premier League goalkeepers

In the wake of Asmir Begovic's goal, Sports Mole looks back on the other goalkeepers who have found the back of the net in the Premier League.

Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic made the headlines yesterday when he scored during his side's 1-1 draw with Southampton.

The Bosnian international was merely trying to clear the ball, but it took an unexpected high bounce in front of his opposite number Artur Boruc and ended up in the back of the net.

He is not the first Premier League goalkeeper to have got his name among the scorers, though. Below are the four other keepers who have achieved the feat.

1. Peter Schmeichel - Everton vs. Aston Villa, 2001

2. Brad Friedel - Charlton Athletic vs. Blackburn Rovers, 2004

3. Paul Robinson - Tottenham Hotspur vs. Watford, 2007

4. Tim Howard - Everton vs. Bolton Wanderers, 2012

5. Asmir Begovic - Stoke City vs. Southampton, 2013
