Tottenham Hotspur prepare a bid for Feyenoord midfielder Tonny Vilhena, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a bid for Feyenoord midfielder Tonny VIlhena.

Vilhena, 23, came through the youth system at Feyenoord, and has made over 220 first-team appearances for the Dutch club in all competitions.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are in a strong position to land the Netherlands international, but Tottenham are also firmly in the race for a player who has scored twice in 17 appearances this season.

Vilhena might be seen as a replacement for Mousa Dembele, with the midfielder's future at Tottenham far from secure.

Spurs did not spend a penny during the recent summer transfer window but are expected to be active at the start of 2019.
