Sunderland close in on Danny Rose, Jermaine Jenas

Sunderland are reportedly nearing a double swoop for Tottenham Hotspur pair Danny Rose and Jermaine Jenas.

It is expected to be a busy day at White Hart Lane, with Rose and Jenas among several players made available for transfer by Andre Villas-Boas.

According to Sky Sports News, the Black Cats have agreed a season-long loan move for Rose, who is currently travelling to Wearside to complete the move.

Meanwhile, Jenas is poised to join on a permanent deal after Sunderland agreed a fee with Spurs former England midfielder.
