Spurs to join race for Marash Kumbulla?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly contemplating whether to make an approach for Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla.

While Jose Mourinho is currently prioritising finding a backup to Harry Kane, Spurs looked far from solid in defence during their 1-0 defeat against Everton on Sunday afternoon.

With the Premier League outfit yet to replace Jan Vertonghen, it has left open the possibility of a new arrival in the middle of their backline.

According to L'Arena, Spurs have identified Kumbulla as a potential addition before the end of the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old made a positive impression during his first campaign in Serie A, featuring on 25 occasions as Verona spent much of the season in the top half of the standings.

Inter Milan and Lazio are also big admirers of the youngster, whom Verona do not intend on selling for anything less than £21.5m.
