Spurs players 'demanding new deals'

A number of Tottenham Hotspur players are reportedly demanding improved terms at the club following Harry Kane's record-breaking contract extension.

Kane was handed the biggest deal in Spurs history in June, putting pen to paper on a six-year contract worth around £60m.

The decision to make an exception from the club's usual wage structure is understood to have encouraged a number of other players to hold out for new terms, though.

The likes of Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld are all reportedly insisting on a 40% increase in their wages.

Chairman Daniel Levy is thought to be unwilling to make other exceptions to his usual wage structure, though, despite having failed to sign a single player during the recent transfer window.
