Spurs eye Spanish goalkeeper

Tottenham Hotspur will try to sign Real Zaragoza goalkeeper Roberto Jiminez during the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

Manager Harry Redknapp is reportedly keen to purchase a back-up keeper to challenge current number one Brad Friedel after admitting recently that Heurelho Gomes can leave the club.

Jiminez, 25, joined Spanish outfit Zaragoza following spells with Atletico Madrid and Benfica.

Fulham boss Martin Jol is also said to be interested in the Madrid-born keeper's services.
