Roma showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld?

Roma have reportedly identified Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld as a potential summer signing.

Despite continuing to play a key role for the Premier League outfit, Alderweireld is available for £25m due to a clause in his contract.

Spurs remain confident of keeping the Belgium international in North London, although the centre-back is naturally attracting attention from elsewhere.

According to Sky In Italy, Roma are keen to add the 30-year-old to their first-team squad before the start of the new season.

The report says that Alderweireld is one of three names on Roma's shortlist, the others being Atalanta BC's Gianluca Mancini and Real Betis's Marc Bartra.

The Serie A club have until July 26 to make an official approach for Alderweireld.
