Report: Villarreal closing on Cedric Bakambu

Villarreal are reportedly close to securing the signing of Bursaspor forward Cedric Bakambu.

The former France Under-20 international scored 29 goals for his Turkish club last season and his form has led to talk of a move to a number of European clubs.

According to AS, however, Villarreal have won the race for the 24-year-old, who moved to Turkish football from Sochaux in 2014.

It is understood that the Yellow Submarine will pay in the region of £5m for the forward, who is expected to undergo a medical later on Monday.

Villarreal are also believed to be confident of signing Roberto Soldado from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
