Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz this summer.
The 27-year-old is believed to have captured the attention of numerous clubs by scoring 24 goals in the Turkish league and adding a further eight as Gala reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season.
However, Spurs are keen to steal a march on other potential suitors by lodging a £17m bid for the centre-forward, according to Turkish newspaper Aksam.
It has also been reported that the Premier League outfit would face competition from Atletico Madrid, who are looking to replace Radamel Falcao following his switch to Monaco.
