Jose Mourinho interested in bringing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Tottenham Hotspur?

New Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho wants Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a backup for leading striker Harry Kane, according to a report.

New Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 38-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Los Angeles Galaxy, where he scored 52 goals in 56 appearances.

The Swede has been linked with a return to Italy, with AC Milan and Bologna leading the list of potential suitors, but The Telegraph now reports that Mourinho is hoping to hijack their pursuit of the striker.

Ibrahimovic worked with Mourinho at Inter Milan and the Portuguese coach also signed him up when he was Manchester United boss, with the striker scoring 26 goals in 46 games during his time with the Red Devils.

According to the report, the new Spurs manager is thought to see the former Paris Saint-Germain frontman as a perfect deputy for leading striker Harry Kane.
