Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino: 'We need another striker to support Harry Kane'

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino reveals that he has a number of options as he hunts for a new striker.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that the club have multiple targets as they work to bring in a new striker to support Harry Kane.

The North London outfit are a little short up front having sold Roberto Soldado, while it appears that Emmanuel Adebayor is not being considered for first-team action.

The club completed the signing of Clinton N'Jie from Lyon last week, but Pochettino has confirmed that he is still in the market for an offensive player.

"Will [Kane] benefit from another striker coming? Yes," FourFourTwo quotes Pochettino as saying. "Always, it is important for us.

"We have players like Nacer Chadli, Erik Lamela, and now Clinton N'Jie, who can play like a striker, but I think we need one more striker, to be sure, for different games - sometimes to play together.

"It's obvious we need one more offensive player. We have confidence we will bring in some offensive player, but I can't give the name today. More than one target? Yes. If you have one and you fail, you are dead."

Tottenham had a bid for Saido Berahino knocked back by West Bromwich Albion earlier this week.
