Jack Grealish is reportedly hopeful that a switch between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur is still a possibility, as he is keen to join the North London outfit.

Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish is reportedly disappointed and disillusioned after a £25m move to Tottenham Hotspur was blocked by the club.

The Villans are understood to have informed Spurs that Grealish is not for sale at any price after they lodged their latest bid on Wednesday.

According to Sky Sports News, the 22-year-old was keen on a move to North London and feels as though Villa have backtracked on an earlier promise that he could leave.

Villa are now under new ownership following the arrival of Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens, with the new men in charge unwilling to offload any star players as they target a place in the Premier League.

Grealish is said to be hopeful that an agreement can still be reached between the two clubs prior to Thursday evening's deadline, although Tottenham are unlikely to go any higher than their latest £25m offer.
