Gareth Bale will see out the final year of his Real Madrid contract at the Bernabeu, according to a report.

Gareth Bale is reportedly keen to see out the final year of his Real Madrid contract at the Bernabeu.

The 32-year-old is now back in pre-season training with Los Blancos following his involvement for Wales at this summer's European Championship, where he provided two assists in four appearances.

Bale returned to Tottenham Hotspur on loan for the 2020-21 campaign and made 34 appearances for the North London club, scoring 16 times and providing three assists.

The attacker has been linked with another loan move to Spurs, but according to Marca, he is planning to see out the final 12 months of his deal with Real Madrid in the Spanish capital.

The report claims that returning Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti 'will be obliged' to get the best out of the Welshman, who is the highest-paid player at the club.

Bale, who saw his relationship with former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane completely break down, has scored 105 goals and registered 68 assists in 251 outings for his current side in all competitions.
