Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Toby Alderweireld is reportedly wanted by Belgian side Club Brugge for the 2021-22 campaign.

Club Brugge are reportedly hoping to pull off a big transfer coup by signing Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham Hotspur.

Alderweireld is into his sixth season with Tottenham and has made 27 appearances in all competitions this term.

The Belgium international has previously suggested that he would be open to a return to his homeland, however, and Brugge may be about to pounce.

According to Voetbal 24, the Belgian First Division A champions have been eyeing up Alderweireld for a while and could make an approach this summer.

Alderweireld has another year to run on his Spurs contract, meaning that Brugge would have to pay a fairly sizeable fee by their standards.

The report suggests that the Blue-Black will also likely face competition from Alderweireld's boyhood club Royal Antwerp.
