Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Newcastle United

Tottenham injury, suspension list vs. Newcastle

Tottenham Hotspur resume their quest for a top-four finish in the Premier League when Newcastle United make the journey to North London on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites entered the international break on the back of a 3-1 victory over fellow European chasers West Ham United, as Kurt Zouma's own goal preceded a Son Heung-min brace in the capital.

Antonio Conte's side still have work to do when it comes to securing a top-four finish, though, as they lie fifth in the rankings and three points behind Arsenal, who still have a game in hand.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with the Magpies.

Japhet Tanganga

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Japhet Tanganga has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his knee injury.

Oliver Skipp

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: April 3 (vs. Newcastle)

Oliver Skipp is edging closer to a comeback from his troublesome groin issue and has a slim chance of returning against Newcastle, but it will be a push.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

The injury-plagued Ryan Sessegnon sustained a thigh problem against Everton on March 7 and is expected to remain out for another few weeks before undergoing a scan again.

Ben Davies

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: April 3 (vs. Newcastle)

Ben Davies was forced to pull out of the Wales squad during the international break due to tightness in his quad, but the defender will reportedly be fine to take his place in the side here.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match.
