How Tottenham could line up against Luton

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou will have to make do without Manor Solomon for the next couple of months as the Lilywhites gear up for Saturday's early Premier League kickoff with Luton Town.

The Israeli attacker recently suffered a serious knee injury in training, and he represents one of eight injury concerns for the Spurs head coach ahead of the trip to Kenilworth Road.

Several of Tottenham's fitness worries come on the left-hand side of the attack, where Ivan Perisic (ACL) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) are also absent, while Brennan Johnson remains out with his hamstring problem.

Bryan Gil is now back in training from groin surgery and has a chance of being involved, but Richarlison is virtually guaranteed to hold his place after linking up with Son Heung-min for his side's opener in their dramatic 2-1 win over Liverpool.

Captain Son is in line to start at the tip of the Spurs attack in that case, while Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison - whose knee injury did not prove serious - complete the visitors' forward line.

Rodrigo Bentancur (knee) will not be available at Kenilworth Road, while Giovani Lo Celso (thigh) is touch and go, but the effective pairing of Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr was never likely to be broken up.

Both of Spurs' full-backs were at the heart of their win over Liverpool, as two perceived fouls from Diogo Jota on Destiny Udogie saw the Liverpool man sent off, while Pedro Porro's last-gasp cross was turned into the Reds' net by Joel Matip.

Udogie was subjected to sickening racist abuse online after the game, but there is nothing to suggest that the Italian will not join Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Guglielmo Vicario in the rearguard, as Alfie Whiteman also battles back from an ankle operation.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Richarlison; Son
