Tim Sherwood delighted with Emmanuel Adebayor form

Tim Sherwood describes Emmanuel Adebayor as a "joy to work with" following his brace in the victory over Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood has described Emmanuel Adebayor as a "joy to work with" after the striker continued his impressive form on Wednesday night.

Adebayor, who found his opportunities limited while Andre Villas-Boas was in charge, scored twice in a 4-0 victory over Newcastle United as Spurs kept the pressure on their rivals in the race for a spot in the Champions League.

"I've seen him be fantastic for many clubs and we are delighted he's in great form for us," Sherwood told reporters.

"His concentration and the way he trains is magnificent and he's been a joy to work with and a credit to himself and us since he's come back in. He's a great example to all young players."

Adebayor has scored eight goals since Sherwood replaced Villas-Boas in December.
