Ryan Mason: 'We must be stronger'

Ryan Mason urges Tottenham Hotspur to produce a strong response to settling for draws after leading in their last two matches.

Ryan Mason has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur must produce a response to their failure to secure a victory in any of their opening three Premier League games.

Mauricio Pochettino watched his side waste leads in draws against Stoke City and Leicester City in the last two weeks, and Mason admits that there can be no excuse for a loss of focus after going ahead.

"You can't say we're not scoring goals because in our last home game against Stoke we got two and then at Leicester we scored again," the Spurs midfielder told the club's website.

"It's just about being a bit stronger when we take the lead and seeing out games.

"We're confident ahead of Everton now – we always are. Although we've let two leads slip in the last two games, we firmly believe that if we take the lead we'll keep it next Saturday."

Spurs will continue their search for a first win of the season when they face Everton on Saturday.
