Mauricio Pochettino: 'Tottenham Hotspur had chances to win'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino believes that his side had the chances to win against Liverpool in the Premier League's early kickoff.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that his side created enough chances to win despite drawing 0-0 with Liverpool at White Hart Lane.

All the attention before kickoff was on new Reds manager Jurgen Klopp, and Pochettino feels that the German has had an immediate effect on his players.

However, the Argentine believes that his side were the stronger and on another day would have taken all three points.

The 43-year-old told BT Sport: "I'm happy with my players, it was a very difficult game, we will assess after the game the chances.

"We had four clear chances and we only concede one chance in the first half when we were down to 10 with the Nacer Chadli injury.

"All that happened in one week [for Liverpool] I think affected them in a positive way but the one team that would win on terms of chances was Tottenham."

The result leaves Tottenham seventh in the Premier League while Liverpool remain in ninth.
