Ryan Nelsen in Tottenham squad for Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur assistant coach Kevin Bond has confirmed that new signing Ryan Nelsen will be in the squad for Monday's trip to Liverpool.

The defender, who has played one game this season due to injury, signed for Spurs on deadline day after being released by Blackburn Rovers.

"He is fit and eligible to play on Monday," said Bond. "I've just had a cup of tea with him in the canteen. He is looking forward to the challenge."

Spurs travel to Anfield third in the Premier League table.
