Mauricio Pochettino "happy" at Tottenham Hotspur despite rumours over his future

Mauricio Pochettino insists that he is "happy" at Tottenham Hotspur, despite being linked to Chelsea and Manchester United.

Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that he is "happy" in charge of Tottenham Hotspur, despite rumours linking the Argentine to Manchester United and Chelsea.

The 43-year-old has had an impressive season having turned Spurs into Premier League title contenders.

The North London outfit are currently second in the table, two points behind leaders Leicester City after 26 games, which include 14 wins, eight draws and just three defeats.

Chelsea will appoint a permanent successor to Jose Mourinho in the summer, while Manchester United are also rumoured to be considering a managerial change due to a lacklustre season under Louis van Gaal.

Pochettino has been linked to both positions, but the Argentine is focused on his job at White Hart Lane.

"I'm very happy at Tottenham [and my staff] are happy, as are our families," The Express quotes Pochettino as saying. "The Premier League is the most competitive league and financially, it's the strongest. There are all the conditions needed to carry on working here and to enjoy the culture that there is.

"You go to play at a stadium in the provinces and you find a crowd of 20,000. That's worth a lot in terms of why we love this sport and have passion for it.

"England is the best place to enjoy what you do. Would I rule out a return to Spain? Never. It's clear that people have dreams. You need to live day by day and not think too much about the future. What will happen, will happen."

Pochettino joined Spurs from Southampton in 2014.
