Hugo Lloris looking to "shake things up"

Lloris looking to "shake things up"

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has vowed to "shake things up a bit" at the club after making his debut last night.

Lloris was chosen for Spurs' 0-0 draw with Lazio in the Europa League, his first start since his deadline-day move.

Brad Friedel still appears to be Andre Villas-Boas's favoured option in the Premier League, but Lloris is confident that he will play a part in the team's future.

"The choice lies with the coach but I'm here to shake things up a bit," Lloris told L'Equipe.

"I'm not worried, if Tottenham came looking for me at Lyon, then surely I will play a part in the future of the club. I just hope that I get the chance to play.

"To get a bit of playing time while I'm still settling in, getting to know the club and my new team-mates, that can only be a good thing."

Friedel, who has played a record 308 Premier League games in a row, recently hit back at Fabien Barthez after the French keeper claimed that Lloris should be Spurs' number one.
