Levy 'irritated by Conte, Pochettino talk'

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly been left irritated by claims that Antonio Conte could move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

Over the past week, it has been suggested that Conte is open to taking the main role in the dugout at Parc des Princes with Mauricio Pochettino said to be on the brink of the sack.

Such a scenario would become more realistic if Spurs miss out on Champions League football for next season, the North London outfit currently two points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal in the Premier League standings.

However, according to The Athletic, Levy will not be impressed with the level of speculation regarding the future of a man who he only appointed in November.

While Conte's short-term contract does not help matters, it is claimed that Levy would prefer the focus to be solely on earning a return to European football's top table.

As it stands, Conte has been in charge for just 31 matches, winning 17 of them, but Spurs have failed to defeat Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford in their most recent double-header.
