Robbie Keane to train with Tottenham

Robbie Keane will return to Tottenham Hotspur to train with the first team until the start of Los Angeles Galaxy's Major League Soccer season.

The 31-year-old, who moved to the MLS from Spurs last year, is due to train with Harry Redknapp's squad up until January 20.

The striker has been linked with a two-month loan switch to Aston Villa, but it is understood that neither party have initiated proceedings over a potential deal.

Keane's out-of-contract former Galaxy teammate David Beckham carried out a similar stint with Tottenham last year.
