Harry Kane thanks Tottenham Hotspur fans for support on social media

Kane takes to social media to thank fans

Harry Kane has taken to social media to thank the Tottenham Hotspur fans for their support during today's goalless draw with Burnley.

The Premier League's leading goalscorer became the youngest player to don the captain's armband this season at 21 years and 251 days and took to Instagram and Twitter to thank the travelling fans for their support.

Kane was searching for his 20th league goal this campaign but ultimately ended up frustrated by Burnley's tough defensive stance.

"Huge honour to Captain the side today," Kane tweeted.

"Very proud day! Disappointing result but a good clean sheet away from home.Fans were fantastic! #COYS"

Kane stood in for the injured Hugo Lloris, with defenders Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul also absent.

The 21-year-old is leading this campaign's goalscoring charts, ahead of the likes of Sergio Aguero and Chelsea's Diego Costa.
