Harry Kane: 'Tottenham Hotspur in the hunt for top four'

In-form striker Harry Kane feels that Tottenham are starting to click under Mauricio Pochettino and can challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

Harry Kane has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur are starting to click under Mauricio Pochettino and can challenge for a top-four Premier League finish.

The 21-year-old striker scored a first-minute opener as Spurs rode their luck to beat Leicester City on Friday for a third consecutive top-flight win.

The victory saw Spurs close the Boxing Day fixtures seventh in the table, just two points adrift of the Champions League places, which Kane feels are there for the taking.

"We just want to push on and build on the momentum we have gained this Christmas, keep on getting wins and see where it takes us," he told reporters.

"Top four is wide open at the minute. There are a lot of teams in the hunt so we just need to keep performing and keep focused, get some wins and see where it puts us in the table.

"We've definitely been playing better in recent weeks. In the last couple of months we've gotten used to the way the manager wants us to play and I think it's coming together."

Kane's goal at the King Power Stadium was his 15th of the season in all competitions - only Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has more at an English club.
