Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has said that he is determined to show his impressive breakthrough campaign at White Hart Lane was not simply a one-off.
The 21-year-old, who is currently on international duty with England Under-21s, scored 31 goals in all competitions last time out on his way to being crowned PFA Young Player of the Year.
On the back of his memorable campaign, speculation has been rife that Kane could make a switch to Manchester United this summer, but the youngster is eager to continue progressing at his current rate.
"It's been incredible," he told Goal.com of his last 12 months. "Obviously a lot has changed in nine months, it's been great and I've enjoyed every moment of it. Hopefully it's just the beginning.
"I think I've matured - I've had to mature and get used to a different life on and off the pitch. But that's part of it and I was ready for that. I had prepared myself because this is where I always wanted to get to.
"It doesn't stop here. I want to keep progressing and keep working hard - and keep getting better."
Kane failed to find the net against Portugal in England's opening-game U21 Euro 2015 defeat on Thursday evening.
