Joe Jordan: 'It was not a penalty'

Jordan: 'It wasn't a penalty'

Tottenham Hotspur assistant manager Joe Jordan believes that referee Peter Walton made the right decision not to award Fulham a late penalty in Spurs' 3-1 victory at Craven Cottage this afternoon.

Appeals were made by the home players and staff after it appeared that Spurs full-back Kyle Walker handled in his own box.

However Jordan, who alongside Kevin Bond oversaw the visitors today in the absence of manager Harry Redknapp, does not believe that it was a penalty.

"I don't think it was a penalty," he said. "There were a number of other areas that Fulham should look at. They had chances but they didn't take them."

Goals from Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe earned Spurs the victory as they extended their unbeaten league run to eight games.
