Lewis Holtby: 'I feel at home at Tottenham Hotspur'

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby reveals that it took him six months to settle in at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby has revealed that he "feels at home" at the club after nearly a year at White Hart Lane.

Holtby joined Spurs in January after sealing a move from Schalke 04, but despite enjoying his time in North London, the Germany international has admitted that he found it difficult to settle to life in England at the start of 2013.

The 23-year-old told the London Evening Standard: "It's always difficult to join a club in January, especially when there are not many other signings, and I needed a little bit of a break and a pre-season just to get to know everyone better.

"I feel very welcome now. I feel at home here in the team, so now I can show what I'm really capable of, and I think I'm progressing."

Holtby has scored once in 27 appearances for Spurs.
