Mousa Dembele backs Tottenham Hotspur to respond to Anderlecht loss

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele insists that there will be a response against Bournemouth after the team 'underestimated' Anderlecht.

Mousa Dembele has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur will produce a response to the Europa League defeat to Anderlecht.

Spurs were beaten 2-1 in Belgium on Thursday night to leave them third in Group J with three games remaining.

Dembele believes that Mauricio Pochettino's side were punished for allowing complacency to become an issue, but the midfielder is certain they will bounce back against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

"Anderlecht woke us up," Dembele told the club's website. "Against teams like Bournemouth we know it's going to be difficult.

"We shouldn't underestimate any team like we did against Anderlecht.

"Teams like Bournemouth who have just come up always want to fight that much more so that's something we need to be aware of and understand how tough it's going to be."

Spurs are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games.
