Defoe: Derby "means more to Arsenal"

Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe has insisted that this weekend's North London derby is more important to Arsenal.

The England international believes that the Gunners' inconsistent form this season has made a victory all the more important for Arsene Wenger's team.

"It means more to Arsenal than us obviously because of the way things have gone for them this season," he told LBC 97.3.

"I think it's been a lot of ups and downs, where at the beginning they didn't start too well, then they picked it up and then they've had a little blip again."

Defoe is expected to start the match as a substitute.
