Michael Dawson expects Tottenham Hotspur title challenge

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson believes that the team is good enough to mount a serious Premier League title challenge this season.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has claimed that his side are good enough to win the Premier League title this season.

Spurs are currently in seventh place in the table, five points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Despite aiming to qualify for next season's Champions League, Dawson insists that there is enough talent in the squad to mount a serious title challenge.

"Our expectations are high," he told the Daily Star. "There's no hiding at the start of the season. Our aim was to be in the top four. That hasn't changed.

"But we aim high and we believe that we have got the squad - and the quality in the dressing room - to go all the way."

Tottenham continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they travel to Manchester City.
