Nabil Bentaleb eyes West Bromwich Albion response

Nabil Bentaleb calls on Spurs to get back to winning ways against West Brom following a three-match winless streak.

Nabil Bentaleb has called on his Tottenham Hotspur teammates to put a three-game winless streak behind them by beating West Bromwich Albion today.

Spurs failed to make amends for their 3-0 defeat to Liverpool prior to the international break by drawing 2-2 with Sunderland last weekend.

Europe did not offer a reprieve as Tottenham were held to a goalless draw with Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday.

However, Bentaleb believes that the visit of the Baggies this afternoon represents a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.

"We have to be ready for Sunday's game and I think we need to get back to a winning mentality," Bentaleb told reporters. "I think it will be a really good test for us on Sunday.

"You know there is always ups and downs in a season and it is all about how you bounce back. I think Sunday is a really good game for us to bounce back.

"We can't afford to take them lightly. We have to focus on us and if we are 100 per cent and play our football, we have nothing to fear."

This afternoon's clash between Spurs and Albion gets underway at 1.30pm at White Hart Lane.
