AEG deny Tottenham Hotspur takeover

AEG have denied rumours that they want to make a £450m bid to take over Tottenham Hotspur.

The entertainment company, who also own MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy, had been reported to be interested in the Premier League team.

"We have a very good business and personal relationship with Tottenham and have been involved with a number of transactions over the years. However at no time have we had a desire to purchase that club," president Tim Leiweke said in a statement.

Leiweke added that the company wish to continue its working relationship with Spurs.
