Emmanuel Adebayor doubtful for Newcastle match

Emmanuel Adebayor has been rated as doubtful for Tottenham Hotspur's trip to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.

The Togo striker, who is currently on a season-long loan deal at White Hart Lane from Manchester City, injured his hamstring during Spurs' 2-1 victory over Arsenal.

Adebayor has yet to return to training and is said to have a 50/50 chance of featuring at St James's Park.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has recently made it known that he would like to turn Adebayor's move into a permanent one at the end of the campaign.
