Report: Emmanuel Adebayor set for recall under Tim Sherwood

Tottenham Hotspur caretaker boss Tim Sherwood is reportedly ready to recall Emmanuel Adebayor for their League Cup clash against West Ham United on Wednesday evening.

The Togo international has been on the peripheral of Spurs' first team this season prior to Andre Villas-Boas's sacking on Monday.

However, the former Arsenal and Manchester City man is due to return to the fold for Sherwood's first game in charge against the Hammers, according to the Daily Mail.

A recent report claimed that Villas-Boas was relieved of his duties following a refusal to acquiesce to calls from the board for Adebayor to start playing more after their 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday evening.
