Tottenham injury news and return dates for Brighton: Son, Udogie, Dragusin latest

Will Son, Udogie return? Tottenham injury, suspension list for Brighton clash

On the hunt for a sixth consecutive victory across all competitions, Tottenham Hotspur head south to battle Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou's second-string side overcame a tough Ferencvaros examination in the Europa League on Thursday night, as Pape Sarr and Brennan Johnson fired Spurs to a 2-1 win.

That continental triumph came after the Lilywhites tore Manchester United to shreds in a 3-0 Old Trafford trouncing, a result that leaves them eighth in the table heading into the weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Brighton, who succumbed to a Cole Palmer masterclass in a 4-2 loss to Chelsea last weekend.

Son Heung-min

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: October 6 (vs. Brighton)

Spurs captain Son Heung-min has now missed his side's last two matches with the knock he sustained against Qarabag, and having not made the trip to Hungary in midweek, Postecoglou has admitted that he is unlikely to feature at the Amex.

Destiny Udogie

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: October 6 (vs. Brighton)

Destiny Udogie was also left at home in midweek after taking a blow to his quadricep in the win over Manchester United, but the left-back is expected to be fit for this one.

Wilson Odobert

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: October 19 (vs. West Ham United)

During Tottenham's EFL Cup win over Coventry City a couple of weeks ago, summer signing Wilson Odobert damaged his hamstring, and he will not be back in action until after the international break.

Richarlison

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: October 19 (vs. West Ham United)

Similarly, Richarlison is still in rehab for a training ground injury, and Postecoglou implored the media to stop asking about the Brazilian until he gives another update, so it is safe to assume that he will not make the cut at the Amex.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Radu Dragusin was suspended for Spurs' win over Ferencvaros, but the Romanian will return from the naughty step on Sunday, meaning that Tottenham have no players banned for this match.
