Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Tottenham injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur are scheduled to return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a clash against Liverpool in North London.

Spurs have seen their matches with Rennes, Brighton & Hove Albion and Leicester City postponed due to coronavirus issues, meaning that they have not been in action since beating Norwich City 3-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 5.

A total of 25 points from 14 matches has left Antonio Conte's side in seventh spot in the table, four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, with three games in hand over the Gunners.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Liverpool, who are currently second in the table.

Cristian Romero

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Cristian Romero suffered a serious thigh injury while representing Argentina in November and is not expected to return to the field until the early stages of 2022.

Sergio Reguilon

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: December 19 (vs. Liverpool)

Sergio Reguilon has recently been struggling with a muscular problem, but he was expected to be involved against Leicester, so the Spaniard has a strong chance of returning for this match.

The club have not confirmed which players tested positive for coronavirus, but premierinjuries states that Emerson Royal, Son Heung-min, Dane Scarlett, Oliver Skipp, Bryan Gil and Lucas Moura are among those impacted by the outbreak at the Premier League club.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match.
