Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Brentford

Tottenham injury, suspension list vs. Brentford

Tottenham Hotspur will be bidding to boost their hopes of securing a European finish in the Premier League table when they host Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs will enter the match off the back of a 2-1 loss at Aston Villa in the league, which left them down in seventh spot, which would see them qualify for the Europa Conference League playoff round.

The North London outfit are one point behind sixth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion, who have two games in hand, while they are only ahead of eighth-placed Villa on goal difference.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Brentford, who are ninth in the table, four points behind their opponents here.

Experienced goalkeeper Hugo Lloris could potentially have played his last game for Spurs, as the Frenchman is out for the remainder of the campaign with a hip injury.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Rodrigo Bentancur will also not play again this term either due to the serious knee injury that he suffered in February, with the midfielder bidding to be fit for the start of the 2023-24 campaign.

Ryan Sessegnon

Ryan Sessegnon continues to struggle to overcome a hamstring problem, and the defender has also been ruled out for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign.

Central defender Eric Dier was missing for the match against Villa due to a knock, but he is expected to return for Tottenham this weekend.
