Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Watford

Spurs injury, suspension list vs. Watford

Tottenham Hotspur play host to Watford on Saturday afternoon looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

Just four days after suffering a heavy defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Spurs succumbed tamely to Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

Mauricio Pochettino now has decisions to make regarding his squad, while also hoping that two players are close to featuring for the senior side.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Tottenham ahead of Saturday's contest.

Hugo Lloris

Status: Out Type of injury: Elbow Possible return date: Unknown

Lloris suffered a dislocated elbow after landing heavily when attempting to claim a cross against Brighton. While the Frenchman and Spurs would have been relieved that there were no broken bones, the club captain has suffered ligament damage, which will keep him sidelined until 2020.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Out Type of injury: Hip Possible return date: November 3 (vs. Everton)

Having suffered a hip injury while representing Argentina in September, Lo Celso has been ruled out until at least the end of October. However, the playmaker should be available before the start of the November international break.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Sessegnon is still to make his debut for Spurs since signing from Fulham in the summer. The left-sided youngster is still suffering with a hamstring problem, with no potential return date being suggested by the North London outfit.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

Spurs have no players suspended for Saturday's fixture, with Serge Aurier having served his one-match ban for the two yellow cards picked up against Southampton.
