Tottenham injury, suspension list and return dates for Leicester clash: Solanke, Sarr, Bissouma

Solanke timeline confirmed: Tottenham injury list for Leicester clash

Two of the Premier League's bottom six vie for increasingly rare victories on Sunday afternoon, as Tottenham Hotspur host Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Ange Postecoglou's men have genuine relegation fears after last weekend's chastening 3-2 loss to Everton, which sees them enter gameweek 23 in an embarrassing 15th place in the table.

However, the Lilywhites gave themselves a continental shot in the arm in midweek, overcoming Hoffenheim by the same scoreline to boost their prospects of Europa League progression.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the showdown with the Foxes, who sit two points adrift of safety in 19th spot.

Pape Sarr

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: January 26 (vs. Leicester City)

Pape Sarr was unavailable for the recent Europa League win on account of being "a bit sore" after the Everton defeat, but he is in with "a chance" of making the cut this weekend.

Dominic Solanke

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: March 8 (vs. Bournemouth)

Spurs' perpetual injury crisis worsened last week as Dominic Solanke sustained a knee injury in training, one that Postecoglou expects will sideline him for around six weeks, although he will not need to go under the knife.

Yves Bissouma

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: January 26 (vs. Leicester City)

Yves Bissouma has been unavailable for Tottenham's last two fixtures on account of a knock, although Postecoglou stressed before the Hoffenheim game that he was hopeful of having the Mali midfielder back in time for Sunday.

Brennan Johnson

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Manchester United)

Welsh attacker Brennan Johnson hurt his calf in the recent North London derby defeat to Arsenal, and Tottenham will have to make do without his services for a few weeks.

Timo Werner

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Manchester United)

Similarly, fellow wide man Timo Werner is nursing a hamstring problem he suffered against Tamworth in the FA Cup, and he should not be back until mid-February either.

Destiny Udogie

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Manchester United)

Destiny Udogie is yet to turn out for Tottenham in the current calendar year due to a hamstring injury, and the Italian is still approximately three weeks away from a competitive comeback.

Guglielmo Vicario

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: February 25 (vs. Manchester City)

Guglielmo Vicario should soon be entering the final stages of his rehabilitation from ankle surgery, but Antonin Kinsky will continue to guard the posts for at least another few weeks.

Cristian Romero

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: January 30 (vs. Elfsborg)

Cristian Romero returning to training in midweek was an extremely welcome sight for Tottenham fans, but the Hoffenheim match came too soon for the Argentine, and Postecoglou does not expect him to make the cut on Sunday either.

Micky van de Ven

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: January 30 (vs. Elfsborg)

Micky van de Ven was also estimated to return at the end of January, but as the Dutchman is not as far along in his recovery as Romero, he will certainly not be fit to face Leicester.

Wilson Odobert

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Fledgling attacker Wilson Odobert is still on the mend from the hamstring operation he underwent in November, and the ex-Burnley man remains unavailable for selection until further notice.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this game.
