Tottenham Hotspur are drawn against FA Cup giant killers Middlesbrough in the fifth round of the 2021-22 tournament.

Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn against giant killers Middlesbrough in the fifth round of the 2021-22 FA Cup.

Antonio Conte's side eased into round five courtesy of a 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, as Harry Kane netted either side of Solly March's own goal.

Spurs' search for a first piece of silverware in 14 seasons will now continue at the Riverside Stadium, as Chris Wilder's Middlesbrough seek to make lightning strike twice against Premier League opposition.

The Championship side have been rewarded for their penalty shootout win over Manchester United with another clash against a Big Six side, as Anthony Elanga missed the crucial penalty for the Red Devils on Friday night.

Spurs and Boro are meeting for the first time since the 2019-20 FA Cup, during which the Lilywhites were held to a 1-1 draw in the third round at the Riverside before winning the replay 2-1 at home.
