Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Spurs injury, suspension list vs Frankfurt

Tottenham Hotspur enter matchday four of the UEFA Champions League knowing that a win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday will be crucial in their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Both Spurs and Frankfurt sit level on four points in Group D, two points adrift of leaders Sporting Lisbon, meaning either side could jump into first place with a win, should the Portuguese outfit lose to Marseille.

The reverse fixture in central Germany last week saw the sides play out a rather dull 0-0 draw in what was yet another low scoring game in the group.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the important clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Harry Kane

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: October 12 (vs. Eintracht Frankfurt)

Harry Kane took a late blow to the ankle in the weekend win over Brighton and Hove Albion and was subsequently substituted, but he should be fine to start after both he and manager Antonio Conte talked down the severity of the injury post-match.

Dejan Kulusevski

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Dejan Kulusevski will remain out for at least a couple more weeks after returning from international duty with Sweden injured at the end last month.

Lucas Moura

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: Unknown

Lucas Moura faces an extended spell on the sidelines after continuously falling behind schedule on his return from an injury which has now kept him out for two months, with Antonio Conte revealing that he simply is not recovering from it.

Japhet Tanganga

Status: Out Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: Unknown

Not much has been disclosed about Japhet Tanganga's injury, but the defender was not named in the squad for the defeat to Arsenal and has not been selected since, with reports suggesting it is due to injury.
