Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Borussia Dortmund

Spurs injury, suspension list vs. Dortmund

Tottenham Hotspur head into the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Borussia Dortmund holding a three-goal advantage over the German side.

Mauricio Pochettino's side struck three times in the second half at Wembley Stadium last month, and it has left the Premier League outfit on the brink of a place in the quarter-finals.

However, Spurs are without a win in three matches in England's top flight, and Pochettino will demand that complacency does not set in against the Bundesliga leaders.

Some members of the squad remain unavailable for Tuesday's match and here, Sports Mole looks at Spurs' latest injury and suspension news ahead of their encounter at the Westfalenstadion.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S INJURY LIST

Dele Alli

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: March 5

Dele Alli has been absent since sustaining a hamstring injury against Fulham in January, and although Pochettino has previously suggested that the midfielder could be ready to feature against Dortmund, no risks will be taken on the England international.

Eric Dier

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Virus Possible return date: March 2

Eric Dier has missed the last three games due to tonsillitis, and it remains unclear whether the midfielder will feature in the squad on Tuesday night.

Harry Winks

Status: Doubt Type of injury: Hip Possible return date: March 5

Harry Winks sustained an issue with his hip in the defeat at Chelsea last week, an injury which kept him out of the North London derby at the weekend. However, the academy graduate may recover in time to play a part against Dortmund.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

Spurs have no suspensions ahead of this game.
